THE BENEFITS OF HYPNOTHERAPY

Hypnotherapy is a very powerful way to alleviate any fears and frustrations. It can also help with attaining your dreams, desires, goals and ambitions. The principle and concept of hypnosis in a therapeutic context means that we are accessing the client's subconscious mind. I help by guiding them into a deep, hypnotic trance, where their brainwaves slow right down to the theta brainwaves range (4Hz - 7Hz) with or without background binaural beats etc. From that deep hypnotic trance, their subconscious is more receptive to my safe, sensible suggestions to help create new, empowering beliefs, mindsets, perceptions, habits etc. Now some presenting issues may take 2-3 sessions to create lasting, permanent changes on a deep, subconscious level.

A common question that comes up quite a lot is "can everyone be hypnotised?" and the answer is "of course" - we all go in and out of hypnosis all day, everyday, anyways - when you're driving a vehicle in autopilot mode, when you're in the cinemas, when you're reading a book, when you're daydreaming or actively visualising. Some clients are more what you'd call somnambulistic which means they go really deep, really fast. But anyone and everyone can benefit from guided relaxation, guided visualisation, receiving direct safe/sensible suggestions while in the theta braiwnaves (the edge of awake and asleep, a thread of awareness still there, subconscious mind is way more receptive and the "critical factor" or the bouncer is temporarily out of the way so that the safe, sensible suggestions can be received.

One of my clients, Alice from Spain, has had amazing results in only a short period of time with just 3 sessions so far, where it's been the equivalent of 12 months worth of psychology and/or counselling sessions. We have worked together on various topics such as amnesia for unpleasant/traumatic experiences, inner-child work, shadow-work, confidence, motivation, new empowering habits, post-hypnotic triggers, such as everytime she sees or hears the phrase "red scorpion" she will laugh her head off and she won't be able to contain it. The only way to stop the intense laughter is when she says out loud "blue eyed canary". And we can do these post-hypnotic triggers with a whole variety of different stimulus such as any time the client sees the colour blue - they will be extremely calm and peaceful. Any time the client sees the colour yellow - they feel completely confident and self-assured.

By using hypnosis in a therapeutic context, I'm able to facilitate a deep, hypnotic trance session for the client, where in they're able to find and create new, more empowering mindsets, habits, beliefs, behaviours, perceptions etc. At no point does the client "lose control" - they are very much aware of every step of the process - a lof of people compare it to a detached, parellael, curious awareness, even to the point of catalepsy, where they're too relaxed to even care to readjust or reorient their body positioning.

The possibilities with hypnosis/hypnotherapy are limitless. There's even uses for it in crime scene investigations, homicide detectives etc. There's even the dark side of the CIA with MK Ultra, which is still very common in the mainstream world today with music stars and movie stars who sell their soul to get into those industries. It's a very interesting, fascinating topics with MK Ultra. There's also another similar concept to Hypnotherapy called Remote Viewing, where they use it in the military, FBI, CIA etc. Remote Viewing is essentially a scientific approach to clairovaynce where one person enters into a deep state of relaxation. They're in the theta brainwaves (4Hz - 7Hz) yet they're still engaging their left brain hemisphere (the logical, rational, analytic side of the brain which also includes language); so they're able to vividly describe what they're seeing and the other person is taking detailed notes and drawing what they see - for example, the enemy's base in the Chinese mountains etc.

Back to the topic at hand, Hypnosis / Hypnotherapy has so many applications - for me personally, I use my skills and expertise with all of this to help create powerful change within my client's subconscious mind and help them to create lasting, permanent changes; to alleviate any fears or frustrations AND to attain their dreams, desires, goals and ambitions.

TESTIMONIAL

Alicia S.M. 5 stars out of 5 stars

I started doing hypnotherapy with Dave about a month ago and the effects have been great. Only three one hour sessions in and I was already making more progress in some aspects than what I had accoplished in a whole year of therapy. Hypnotherapy might not be everyone's cup of tea taste as many people who want to start therapy often seek someone to listen to their problems, but I totally recommend it if what you're looking for is fast results. Dave is a professional and dedicated hypnotherapist who has helped me every step of the way and has been a huge help to me. Will definitely have another session with him.
